My fascination for the Moon, La Lune, القمر, Der Mond goes back to childhood. Feminine, masculine or neutral across languages, the moon is a warm feminine figure to me. It is like an anchor everywhere I go around the world, always here, never the same but so familiar. It changes in shape, color and size, gold, red or silver, small crescent, or giant radiating disk in the dark sky, it is like us: it evolves but something immutable always remains. Watching us from above, impassible to our joys and pains, struggles and successes, it is a reminder that whatever happens, life goes on...
